After the ethernet connection is set, follow these steps on the clock: - Select the **Admin** button (found on the top right corner of the clock). - Select **Communication**. - Select **Ethernet**. - Toggle the **Ethernet** selection. - Continue with the network set up.   --- ### Reboot the Time Clock Once you have connected the clock to the internet (via WiFi or ethernet connection), reboot the time clock.  To reboot, disconnect the clock from the power source and then reconnect it to the power source.   --- ### Test the Network Connection After rebooting the time clock, it’s good practice to test the network connection. - Select the **Admin** button(found on the top right corner of the clock). - Select **Communication**. - Select **Network Diagnostics**. - Select **Test Network Connection**. - Results from the test display in the box below the Test Network Connection button. **Tip:** If you encounter any issues when testing the network connection, try unplugging/plugging in the device to reboot or contact [support@checkwriters.com.](mailto:support@checkwriters.com) --- ### Admin Menu Access After verifying you have a successful network connection, the clock is now ready for use and will require administrator login credentials to access the Admin menus. The clock is set with a default username and password. The password will be provided to you in your “getting started” email from Checkwriters. - Default Username: admin   --- ### More Information **Important:** Not all clock features are currently available for use with Checkwriters.
