How to add Pennsylvania taxes for an employee

Pennsylvania taxes require a PSD (political subdivision) code - here's how to add that in Checkwriters

When adding Pennsylvania taxes for an employee in Checkwriters, the Tax screen allows for selection of the PSD (political subdivision) code.

If the employee’s PSD code is already known, the user can select that code from the “PSD Code” dropdown list when adding the tax.

If the code is not already known, the user can look up the employee’s PSD code by selecting the “Address Search Application” link to be redirected to: http://munstats.pa.gov/Public/FindLocalTax.aspx. This will open a new window; enter the address information and select “View Information” to display the PSD code. Please take a moment to review the “Disclaimer” and the “Note” on that site.

Screen shots illustrating each of these options are included below for reference.

Once the Tax code has been added, an email is sent to the Checkwriters tax department, and they will verify the Pennsylvania tax set up.
