Improvements
Register New User
To address an issue for our mobile users, we added a Register new user? link on the login page. This link redirects users to the Registration Code page, where they can enter the code sent via email.
Previously, there was no easy way for mobile users to access the registration code page.
New Employee Onboarding Email
To help improve the onboarding experience for new ESS users, we have added links to the Google and Apple app stores in Onboarding emails.

Reporting
Timesheet Report - Date Range
For users who run the Attendance → Time Reports → Timesheet Report - Date Range report, we are now pulling the data that falls within the start and end dates selected for the report, regardless of check date.
Previously, we were pulling in the check dates between the start/end dates.
Timesheet Reports & Semi-Monthly/Monthly Calendars
For users with access to Attendance → Time Reports, we have updated these timesheet reports to support semi-monthly/monthly calendars:
-
Timesheet Report
-
Timesheet Report (In/Out) - Excel
-
Timesheet Report (with In/Out)
Imports
For users with access to Reporting → Import Data, we now offer a pre-formatted Excel template that can be downloaded for use with the following imports:
-
Employee
-
Employee Accrual
-
Employee Dependent
-
Employee Deduction
-
Employee Fringe
-
Employee Rate
-
Company Job
For users with access to Attendance → Attendance Import → Import, we now offer a pre-formatted Excel template that can be downloaded for use with the following imports:
-
Time Clock Import (dropdown selection)
-
Timesheet Import (dropdown selection)
Depending on the import type, the template file will have at least two tabs:
-
The first tab is a pre-formatted template with the column headers in the required order; use this template to enter data for import.
-
For required fields, column headers are clearly highlighted and stand out from the non-required columns.
-
-
The second tab, or any additional tabs, detail the import file requirements, including required fields, data types, maximum field length, etc.
Note: It is not necessary to delete or remove the additional tabs (with the requirements) before importing; the import will process only the data entered on the first tab.
Company Deduction and Earning Codes
For users with access to Company Setup → Deductions or Earnings, we enhanced the system to prevent the creation of Deduction or Earning codes that are reserved code values. Reserved code values for deductions and earnings are D, E, and T.
If a reserved value is entered as the deduction or earning Code, a warning message will be displayed when the user selects the save button on the page.

Reduce Auto Pay
We added new documentation to our Knowledge Base that describes the Reduce Auto Pay feature for earnings codes. This feature helps ensure a salaried employee is paid accurately by automatically adjusting default hours after time off is entered in Payroll.
