Arizona Tax

These release notes document improvements to the Checkwriters software related to Arizona tax.

Overview

The following screens have been updated to capture “Percentage” and “Extra Amount” for Arizona tax.

  • HR Admin → Hire Employees → Add New Employee (refer to Add New Employee below illustrating this change)

  • HR Admin → Hire Employees → Add New Employee via Onboarding

  • HR Admin → Hire Employees → Rehire Employee

  • HR Admin → New Hire Center <choose employee> → Payroll tab → Taxes

  • HR Admin → Manage Employees <choose employee> → Payroll tab → Taxes

  • Payroll → Edit Employee Info → Taxes

  • ESS → My Payroll → Taxes (refer to ESS - My Payroll - Taxes below illustrating this change)
 

Add New Employee

This section illustrates the change to the form when adding a New Employee via HR Admin → Hire Employees → Add New Employee. The Extra Amount and Percentage fields have been added to align with the Arizona tax form.

The Percentage field is a dropdown showing the percentage allowance amounts from the form.

ESS - My Payroll - Taxes

This section describes the change to the Arizona state tax form within ESS.

Notice the Change request now shows the Percentage field as a dropdown and the Extra Amount fields.
