These release notes document improvements to the Checkwriters software released on 07/10/2026.
Employee Demographic Updates
For users with access to Employee Center → Demographics, Hire Employees → Add New Employee, or Hire Employees → Rehire Employee, we have enhanced the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code experience and added a new field to accommodate Treasury Tipped Occupation Code (TTOC) updates.
More Info:

Enhancement – SOC Codes
We have updated the Std Occupational Classification (SOC) field to a dropdown list; previously, this was a free-text field. Each option in the dropdown list includes the official occupation title and any Treasury Tipped Occupation Code (TTOC) associated with the SOC.
Important: If a tipped employee requires a TTOC, enter the SOC code that corresponds to the appropriate TTOC in the Std. Occupational Classification (SOC) field.
For example, if an employee is a bartender (TTOC 101), you would select the corresponding SOC code (35-3011) from the dropdown menu.

New Field – Secondary TTOC
We have added a new field, Secondary Treasury Tipped Occ. Code (Secondary TTOC) for employees who require an additional TTOC reported on their Form W-2.
