06/16/2026 Release Notes: Employee Dependent Information

These release notes document improvements to the Checkwriters software released on 06/16/2026.

Dependent Field Requirements

When entering Employee Dependent information in the system, we no longer require these fields:

  • Social Security Number (SSN)
  • Smoker Status
  • Disabled Status
  • Student Status
  • Address
  • City
  • State
  • Zip Code

Previously, these fields were required in order to save the dependent record.

Affected Pages

  • HR Admin → Manage Employees → Dependents
  • HR Admin → Hire Employees → New Hire Center
    • Via Employee or Employer Onboarding and the onboarding template is set to “Collect Dependent Information”
  • ESS → My Info → Dependents
