06/16/2026 Release Notes: Employee Dependent Information
These release notes document improvements to the Checkwriters software released on 06/16/2026.
Dependent Field Requirements
When entering Employee Dependent information in the system, we no longer require these fields:
- Social Security Number (SSN)
- Smoker Status
- Disabled Status
- Student Status
- Address
- City
- State
- Zip Code
Previously, these fields were required in order to save the dependent record.
Affected Pages
- HR Admin → Manage Employees → Dependents
- HR Admin → Hire Employees → New Hire Center
- Via Employee or Employer Onboarding and the onboarding template is set to “Collect Dependent Information”
- ESS → My Info → Dependents
